Meet Mike Peterson

Mike Peterson joined VCOA in the mid-1990s, after he decided to keep the Volvo 144 his parents bought new in 1970. The VCOA Golden Gate Chapter was then organizing, and Mike claims credit for inviting the group to Davis for a gathering which grew into the annual Davis meet, now in its twelfth year. Mike’s current project car is a 1971 1800E. His family’s daily drivers are a 1992 245 and 2006 V70. Mike picked up the V70 at the factory in Goteborg, and wrote about the factory tour and driving in Sweden in the VCOA Rolling magazine in 2007 (pages 17-19 in the January/February 2007, Vol. 25, No.1 issue).
