The 14th Annual Davis Car Show was a judged event and this year featured new award categories. Awards were given for first and second place in stock and modified categories.

As with the judging last year, the judges were selected for their expertise with a particular Volvo model, were paired together, and in charge of a particular category in which their Volvo was not entered. Jon Manji, Sac Volvo Club Planning Committee Member, coordinated the judges and tabulated the results.

Jeff Molander, our first Sac Volvo Club President since the Chapter was revived in 2008, is passing the torch at the end of 2010 to Mark Baldwin, a Sac Volvo Club founding Planning Committee member.

Over the years Jeff lead the Chapter, he set the tone and grew the chapter in an inclusive family-friendly way. Everyone was welcome and everyone had a voice in the direction of the Chapter.

We wish to thank Jeff for his dedication, passion, and leadership.


We additionally look forward to Mark's enthusiasm, passion, and leadership as we continue to set the tone and grow the chapter.

This website is updated frequently with minor changes:
-As we plan events, we update the website.
-As events pass, we update the website.
-As we explore the web, we inevitably find some new and interesting things we would like to share and we update the website again.

The question becomes: How do we best spread the word about these updates?

We have a News & Announcements page, but this seems more fitting to bigger / more global updates-- that is, headline-type changes.
Where should the minor updates (i.e., filler stories) be posted?

Twitter fits the bill perfectly!
Not only is it designed to limit the length of a post, but it also provides a single place to easily view all the updates when something of interest is happening with the Sac Volvo Club.
If you are also on Twitter, this also has the added benefit of making our website even more interactive!

There are times when you can never seem to find enough information and there are times when you only want the basics.

Print out these information cards, cut them out (eight are on a page), and store them some place handy (like your glovebox).
Whenever you meet another Volvo owner or spot a Volvo in a parking lot, give them a card (the back was left blank so you could write a note and/or list the next event).
